Ghana is a big old place with plenty going on, so finding the perfect relationship isn’t always simple. GhanaWeb is a site with several subsections, from education to politics to dating. You can sign up easily to access this information, searching the site’s catalog of members for anyone near you who is looking for a date. As well as conventional male-female relationships, you can also choose to find something a bit different, whether you wish to reunite with friends or make new acquaintances. 

Registering with this website is quick and easy. You can perform a very basic search to find members based on their gender, photos and location, but this really could be improved. Ghana is such a big place that it would help to be able to find members based on more specific information. The site seems, in part at least, to be set up to help friends reunite, which is a nice little twist. However, the site isn’t easy to navigate and you’ll find yourself having to wade through a lot of profiles to locate anyone, which isn’t ideal for finding a particular person. 

In fact, navigation is the biggest issue we had with this website. We found members we were interested in contacting but when we tried to send a message, we were sometimes given an error message. This cut off any communications, drastically reducing any dating opportunities. The website, more generally, is quite bare and it’s not always clear where you should navigate to, or what you should click, to achieve your goals.

Additional features aren’t bad and we were particularly pleased to see that you can upload videos, but the chat rooms require you to use a video chat server. We weren’t so pleased about this as the only option because, if you want to chat without a cam, then you can’t. This seems unnecessarily restrictive. Still, if you do want to engage in video chats for free, then this is a great feature.

It’s free to register with, and use, Ghana Web Dating, but we do feel that it needs vast improvements to help members use it effectively. Profiles are often far too brief and the quality of photos is low. Yes, it is a free resource, but it’s not a great one. If you have no money and are looking for a date in Ghana (although the site does allow you to search elsewhere) then this is probably worth checking out, but otherwise we don’t think it’s worth the effort and annoyance.
